Welcome back to Wealth Vault. Over the last few months, I have shared with you my investment strategies across various crypto narratives for the upcoming bull run. In today's issue, I have compiled my top five narratives, which I believe have the most potential. After weeks of explosive moves across various verticals, the market is now taking a breather, and I believe this is the best time to build your position in these narratives.

1. Base

Base is Coinbase's Ethereum blockchain layer-2 platform and one of the chains that best addresses the blockchain trilemma issue. Layer 1s like Ethereum and Solana have failed to achieve scalability, security, and decentralization simultaneously. Ethereum provides security and decentralization but lacks scalability with high fees and slow transactions. Solana prioritizes scalability with cheap, fast transactions but is criticized for being centralized and is constantly disrupted by network outages. 

Base combines the strengths of both Ethereum and Solana. It offers the scalability of fast and low-cost transactions like Solana while inheriting Ethereum's robust security model. Base has solved the decentralization aspect by being open-source and permissionless through integration with Optimism, a layer 2 scaling solution.

However, Base's most important catalyst is its deep integration with Coinbase's ecosystem. Coinbase, one of the largest and most regulatory-compliant cryptocurrency exchanges, has built out an infrastructure that includes on-ramps, stablecoins, wallets, and off-ramps. With Base natively integrated across this ecosystem, it has an inherent advantage and utility driving adoption. 

Base recorded an all-time high of over 2.3 million transactions on March 30. The surge had been steadily building momentum, with Base reporting 1.9 million daily transactions on average over the last seven days of March. On the same day, the L2 also achieved another significant milestone, surpassing $1 billion in trading volume on decentralized exchanges (DEX) in just 24 hours. This shows that this is where the money is going. Fortunately, we are still in the early stages of this narrative—it is like getting into Solana early.
